Job description

SecOps Engineer London (office based 4 days per week) £115,000 - £125,000 We’re looking for a talented and proactive Security Operations Engineer to join our clients growing team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player managing data centres (hardware and software) and cloud footprint with a focus on information security. You will be responsible for strengthening and operating security controls across infrastructure, networks, systems and data. Responsibilities: • Systems hardening through configuration, scripting, port and configuration scanning activities • Vulnerability management • Disaster recovery • Enforce data security • Extending OSS tools (written mostly in Go or Python) • Strengthening network security • Implementing an asset management solution • Establishing a solid and efficient backup and archival solution, using cloud based and on prem resources • Keep up to date with emerging threats, attack techniques and security best practices Skills: • Proven experience in security operations or infrastructure security role • Knowledge of storage systems, front and middle office trading and risk systems • Demonstrated knowledge of managing routers, firewalls and other critical network components • Ideally MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar • CI/CD tooling, such as Jenkins, Jira or Git • Proficiency in Linux • IaC scripting (such as Terraform) • Strong understanding of file systems • Outstanding knowledge of at least on programming language, such as Bash, Go, Python etc If you’re passionate about SecOps, enjoy solving complex technical challenges and want to make a meaningful impact in a highly technical environment, we would love to hear from you.
