Job description

Are you an experienced Production Shift Manager or Section Manager looking for a better work-life balance? I am partnering with a leading name in the food and fresh produce sector to find an established Production Section Manager for their 'A Shift' team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a proven, hands-on manager to take full accountability for a fast-paced shift operation, drive operational standards, and truly shape the culture on the floor. If you are an exceptional communicator who already excels at managing daily line efficiencies, mentoring team members, and maintaining gold-standard quality, this role offers the autonomy and corporate backing you deserve. What You'll Be Doing: As the Section Manager, you will lead the line operations end-to-end, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and to standard. Your key focus areas will include: • Shift Performance & Accountability: Taking full ownership of daily operations, ensuring production lines run efficiently, safely, and smoothly from start to finish. • Daily Plan Execution: Reviewing production plans, completing pre-shift checks, allocating labour across lines, and coordinating with agencies to cover shortages. • Quality & Compliance: Partnering closely with the QA team to optimise quality performance, monitoring product specs, and enforcing strict PPE and GMP standards. • People Management & Development: Leading, mentoring, and onboarding new starters, conducting 1-to-1s/PDRs, and handling initial shop floor investigations or return-to-works. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicating shift performance at daily review meetings (DRMs) and working alongside Planning, Technical, HR, and Engineering to drive continuous improvements. What We're Looking For: • Proven Management Experience (Essential): Demonstrated experience working as an established Shift Manager or Section Manager within a high-volume production environment. • People Management (Essential): Strong background in handling return-to-works, agency coordination, performance reviews, and shop-floor investigations. • Tech Savvy (Essential): Solid computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Excel for reporting and monitoring metrics. • Collaborative Mindset: A manager who can seamlessly partner with QA, HR, Engineering, and Senior Leadership to resolve issues quickly. How to Apply: If you have the required management experience and want to secure a fantastic role with an incredible benefits package, don't wait, touch base with me at
