Key RequirementsTo be successful in this rewarding SEMH supply role, you must meet the following criteria: • Recent UK Primary School Experience: You must have recent, practical experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant within a UK primary school setting. • Proven SEMH Experience: Strong, hands-on experience supporting primary-aged children with social, emotional, mental health, or associated behavioural needs (such as ADHD, autism, or attachment difficulties). • De-escalation & Nurture Skills: A proven ability to use positive behaviour management, nurture strategies, or de-escalation techniques (training such as Team Teach is highly desirable but not essential). • Safeguarding Compliance: A valid, enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check through Randstad). • An Adaptable & Resilient Nature: The emotional resilience, empathy, and patience required to support pupils through challenging moments, alongside a proactive attitude when stepping into different mainstream classrooms.
