Personal Tax Senior/Personal Tax Semi-Senior Autograph Recruitment have partnered with an Accountancy Practice seeking an experienced Personal Tax professional to join their team, this role is an initial 6 month fixed-term contract with the view to start in August 2026. Our client, in Swindon, will look at hybrid working for this position and can be flexible. The Opportunity This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in UK personal tax compliance who enjoys managing their own portfolio while delivering a high standard of service to clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of a broad range of personal tax matters, working with individuals, business owners, and owner-managed companies. They are looking for someone who is confident working independently, able to prioritize their workload effectively, and committed to building positive client relationships. Main Responsibilities: • Prepare and complete UK Self Assessment tax returns for a diverse client portfolio. • Review information received from clients, identifying any missing details or additional documentation needed to complete tax fillings accurately. • Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to tax-related queries in a professional and timely manner. • Manage your own deadlines and ensure work is completed accurately within agreed timescales. • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the tax team to support wider departmental objectives. • Where appropriate, review work completed by junior team members and provide constructive guidance. Experience Required: • Previous practice experience preparing UK Self Assessment tax returns. • Sound knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and compliance requirements. • The ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision. • Excellent organisational skills together with a meticulous approach to accuracy and detail.
