Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher looking to combine primary classroom teaching with a rewarding SEND-focused leadership responsibility?
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Doncaster to recruit a dedicated Primary Teacher with additional responsibility for supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school. This exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity is available from September 2026 and offers the chance to make a significant impact both in the classroom and through wider school improvement.
The RoleThis is a full-time primary teacher position with additional SEND responsibilities, making it ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of inclusive practice and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will:
• Deliver high-quality teaching within a primary classroom setting
• Work closely alongside the school's SENCO to support the provision for pupils with SEND
• Be provided with dedicated SEN planning and administration time each week
• Assist with SEND reviews, meetings and communication with parents and external agencies
• Support the development and implementation of tailored interventions and individual support plans
• Help colleagues adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
• Contribute to creating an inclusive environment where every child can achieve their potential

The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has successful experience teaching within a primary setting
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice
• Is confident working collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals
• Has excellent organisational and communication skills
• Holds a SEND qualification or experience in a SEND-focused role (desirable but not essential)
• Is passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs
