SEN Teaching Assistant

About the RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is a full-time position starting immediately, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role from September for the right candidate. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs • Assist the class teacher in delivering and adapting lessons to meet individual needs • Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development • Promote a positive and nurturing learning environment • Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals About You • Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g., autism, SEMH, learning difficulties) is highly desirable • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs How to ApplyIf you are enthusiastic about supporting children with special educational needs and are available to start immediately, we would love to hear from you.
