SEN Teaching Assistant – Hounslow – Full Time – September Start TLTP are currently working with a secondary school in Hounslow who are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student with complex behavioural needs. This is a full-time position starting in September and will continue for the full academic year. *** SEN Teaching Assistant – Hounslow *** Full-time position – September Start *** 1:1 support for a secondary-aged student *** Restraint training and behaviour management experience essential Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting students who display challenging behaviour? Have you received accredited restraint or positive handling training and feel confident using de-escalation strategies to support vulnerable young people? Can you build positive, professional relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and promoting positive behaviour? If you answered yes to these questions, then this SEN Teaching Assistant role could be the perfect opportunity for you. SEN Teaching Assistant As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a secondary-aged student with additional needs and behaviours that may challenge. You will work closely with the SENCo, pastoral team and class teachers to implement behaviour support strategies, encourage engagement in learning and help the student access the curriculum safely and successfully. The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, excellent behaviour management skills and accredited restraint or positive handling training (such as Team Teach, PRICE, MAPA or equivalent). You will be calm under pressure, resilient, patient and confident in using de-escalation techniques to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
