Qualified SEN Tutor - Outreach (Kensington & Chelsea) About the Opportunity Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Specialist Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to young people across Kensington & Chelsea. You will provide tailored support in Maths and English, working with learners who may be out of school due to a range of additional needs. The role requires a patient, adaptable tutor who can create structured, engaging sessions that rebuild confidence and promote steady academic progress. Tuition is typically 10-15 hours per week, delivered in the home or community. Many pupils have experienced disrupted education, so the ability to differentiate, build rapport, and create a safe, supportive learning environment is essential. Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and ensure each learner receives consistent, high-quality support. Contract / Position Details • Location - Kensington & Chelsea • Position - SEN Tutor (Maths & English) • Type of Work - 1:1 outreach tuition • Start Date - ASAP • Duration - Ongoing, dependent on student needs • Contract Type - Temporary • Hours - Approximately 10-15 hours per week • Rate of Pay - From £25 per hour Experience, Training and Qualifications • Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent) - essential • Strong experience supporting pupils with SEN • Ability to deliver Maths and English at an appropriate level • Minimum 6 months' experience in a UK school or tuition setting • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (desirable) To Be Eligible for This Role, You Must: • Hold Right to Work in the UK • Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one • Provide two professional references covering the last two years Additional Information If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
