ESOL Tutor - Southport Help Learners Build Confidence Through English Language Support Are you passionate about helping learners develop their English skills and achieve their personal, educational and employment goals? Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced ESOL Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to learners across Southport. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping learners improve their confidence, communication skills and overall independence through personalised English language support. You will work closely with learners to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, delivering engaging sessions that are tailored to their individual needs, abilities and goals. Tuition may take place in learners' homes, community settings or other agreed locations, depending on learner requirements. Position Details * Location: Southport * Position: ESOL Tutor * Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible to suit your availability) * Start Date: September 2026 * Contract: Ongoing What We're Looking For The successful ESOL Tutor will have: * A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL/TESOL or equivalent) * Experience delivering ESOL, English language tuition or literacy support * Experience working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups * The ability to plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * A patient, supportive and adaptable approach to teaching To Be Eligible, You Must: * Have the Right to Work in the UK * Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one * Provide two professional references relating to work with children, young people or vulnerable adults Why Join Prospero Teaching?
