Job description
This is an incredibly rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in a student's life. Many of the young people we support are unable to access mainstream education, so your guidance, encouragement and tailored teaching can help rebuild their confidence, develop essential skills, and enable them to reach their full potential.
We are looking for tutors who can create engaging, personalised learning experiences and adapt their teaching to meet a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and other complex learning needs.
The role:
• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition in a student's home or local community setting
• Plan lessons tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style
• Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, motivation and progress
• Work flexibly around the student's timetable
What we're looking for:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A passion for helping vulnerable learners achieve their potential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Pay: £25-£30 per hour
If you're looking for a flexible role where you can have a lasting impact on a young person's education and future, we'd love to hear from you.
