Key RequirementsTo be considered for this specialist supply role, you must meet the following criteria: • Recent UK Primary School Experience: You must have recent, practical experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant within a UK primary school. • Proven SEND Experience: Solid, hands-on experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND (such as Autism, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, or physical disabilities) in either a 1:1 or small group capacity. • Adaptable Communication & Support Skills: Competence in adapting learning materials and using communication tools (such as visual timetables, PECS, or basic Makaton) to help pupils access the mainstream curriculum. • Safeguarding Compliance: A valid, enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for a new one through Randstad). • A Patient, Nurturing Approach: The emotional resilience, empathy, and proactive nature required to support pupils with additional needs, alongside the ability to blend seamlessly into different school teams.
