Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Kidderminster that support students with severe learning difficulites (SLD), complex needs and challenging behaviour.
About the RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom
• Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learning
• Build trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviour
• Assist teachers in creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes
• Access to a Vehicle.
What We're Looking For
• Experience working with young people with SEND (school, youth work, mentoring or similar)
• Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies
• A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
• Team-working skills and a proactive approach
