Specialist SEN training (e.g., Team-Teach, Makaton, PECS, or Autism Awareness) is highly advantageous. Experience: Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, or in roles such as a Care Worker, Youth Worker, Inclusion Assistant, or Behavior Mentor supporting young people with complex needs. Skills: High levels of patience, empathy, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Mindset: A proactive, resilient, and caring approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
