Senior Accountant
Full Time | Hybrid Working | York
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm. Working as part of a collaborative Accounts & Business Advisory team, the successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, compliance and advisory services while building strong, trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
· Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the year.
· Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and groups.
· Prepare management accounts and VAT returns for a range of clients.
· Support clients with accounting and tax compliance while ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.
· Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value through additional services.
· Promote cloud accounting solutions and support clients with digital accounting processes.
· Work closely with managers on planning assignments, meeting deadlines and delivering excellent client service.
· Research and apply relevant accounting standards and legislation to provide practical solutions.
About the Candidate:
· ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.
· At least three years' experience within an accountancy practice.
· Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements and FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and FRS 105.
· Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
· A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
