Senior Accounts Payable Clerk | Ellesmere Port | 2–3 Month Contract | Immediate Start | £30,000–£35,000 Senior Accounts Payable Clerk Ellesmere Port £30,000–£35,000 (pro rata) 2–3 Month Contract Immediate Start Hybrid Working We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and fast-paced organisation based in Ellesmere Port. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join the finance team on an immediate-start contract, supporting the business during a busy period. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Accounts Payable professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and can hit the ground running from day one. The Role You will take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strong financial controls. Key responsibilities include: • Managing the full accounts payable function from invoice receipt through to payment • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently • Matching, batching and coding invoices • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries • Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders • Assisting with month-end accounts payable activities • Supporting the wider finance team as required during this busy period About You We're looking for someone who: • Has proven experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or similar role • Is confident managing the full end-to-end AP process independently • Has experience processing payment runs • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Can start immediately or at very short notice • Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems What's on Offer? • Competitive salary of £30,000–£35,000 (pro rata) • Immediate start • 2–3 month contract with the possibility of extension • Hybrid working • Friendly and supportive finance team • Opportunity to make an immediate impact within a busy organisation If you're an experienced Accounts Payable professional available for an immediate start, we'd love to hear from you.
