• To ensure the effective organisation of all patient episodes under the care of the Rheumatology team in accordance with policy and targets.This will include identifying priority of tasks, efficient scheduling of work, and the use of electronic clinical information systems required to support a comprehensive clinical service. • Action incoming and outgoing mail, E-mails or phone calls; prioritising and liaising with others appropriately. • Demonstration of excellent communication skills when dealing with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team utilising sensitivity and empathy. • Acquire, maintain and improve the knowledge and skills required to perform the role, undertaking appropriate staff training and development as required.
