Senior Autism Practitioner (Team Leader)Location: Lanark, South West Area Services (Office & Community-based) Salary: £34,939 - £37,434 per annum (Clear progression pathway) Hours: Full-time (37 hours/week) | Shift Pattern (Includes evenings, weekends & on-call duties) Sponsorship: Not available for this role About the RoleAre you an experienced social care supervisor looking to lead a compassionate, dedicated team? On behalf of Scottish Autism, Randstad is recruiting a Senior Autism Practitioner (Team Leader) to oversee person-centered care for over 48 autistic adults across housing support, residential care, and transitional assessment services. In this pivotal role reporting to the Service Manager, you will coach and mentor a team of Autism Practitioners, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families, drive service quality, and advocate for meaningful, independent living. Key Responsibilities • Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of Autism Practitioners to maintain exceptional care standards. • Service Delivery: Oversee outcome-based support plans, ensure robust digital record-keeping, and uphold safeguarding standards. • Collaboration: Partner with families, external agencies, and health professionals to continuously adapt and improve support strategies. • Recruitment & Compliance: Participate in hiring talent and ensure full compliance with SSSC Codes of Practice and Care Inspectorate guidelines. • Operational Flexibility: Share responsibility for the regular on-call rota and work flexibly across shift patterns. What You Need to Succeed • Experience: Proven supervisory or management experience within social care, alongside direct experience supporting autistic individuals. • Qualifications: SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and Leadership & Management for Care Services (LMC) - or willingness to achieve these with 100% employer funding. • Driver's License: Valid Full UK Driving License (Essential). • Registrations: Active SSSC registration (or eligible within 3 months) and PVG scheme membership. • Core Competencies: Strong communication skills, IT literacy (MS Office), and alignment with core values: Compassion, Collaboration, Contribution, and Change Making.
