Come and join the Agincare family as a Senior Care Assistant Where you'll be working • Click here to view the care home: https://www.agincare.com/care-homes/dorset/waterloo-care-home-wimborne/ • Care Quality Commission Rating: https://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1- As an Agincare employee you'll enjoy • £13.46 per hour • Refer a friend scheme earn up to £1000 • Outstanding career development • Fully funded training up to QCF level 5 • Blue Light care discount package • Company pension scheme What is required from you? • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, and achieved or working towards NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) • At least two years' experience working in a social care environment - preferably with vulnerable people over 65 • Good demonstrable knowledge and experience of dementia • Excellent communication skills and a real ability to showempathy to people under your car • Opportunities Available: • Senior Care Assistant at 42 hours per week to work from 8am to 8pm to include alternative weekends • Senior Night Care Assistant at 48 hours per week to work from 8pm to 8am to include alternative weekends A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant • Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence • Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs. • Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe andsupportive and compliant way • Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home. • Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
