Senior Clinical Fellow (General Surgery)

The appointed fellows will provide senior surgical input to emergency general surgery patients at all stages from initial triage and assessment to surgery and post-operative care. Duties include oncall at middle grade level with access to emergency theatre if the fellow is on call or assessment/admission of emergencies in A&E, surgical assessment unit/ SCDU when on normal duties. The successful candidates will be able to rotate between Upper GI and Lower GI with dedicated MDTS. We are the 4th largest colorectal cancer resection unit in the UK. The fellows will be assessed through regular meetings with the clinical supervisors to make sure career progression and also the passionate to develop higher surgical skills despite in a permanent post.
