Job description

Senior Data Strategy Analyst - AVP Marshall Wolfe are hiring on behalf of our client within the finance industry, for a Senior Data Strategy Analyst to join a high-performing analytics team focused on delivering strategic insight, driving transformation, and supporting senior stakeholders with data-driven recommendations. This role can be based in Northampton or Glasgow. Key Responsibilities • Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities • Develop analytical models and frameworks to support strategic decision-making • Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on transformation and analytics initiatives • Support business improvement through data interpretation and strategic recommendations • Ensure strong data quality, governance, and control practices • Contribute to project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives • Mentor junior team members and support collaborative team delivery Requirements • Proven experience in analytics, data science, research, or decision intelligence roles • Experience with Python, R, SQL • Strong mathematical background and experience with classical statistical methods (inference, hypothesis testing, regression, etc.) • Financial services or consulting background preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or data governance frameworks • Familiarity with Agile methodologies • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science Location: Northampton or Glasgow Hybrid working: 2 days on site per week
