Job description

Reed Finance are working with a FTSE250 company in Central Bristol recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant. This is a high-impact role within a well-established finance team, offering the opportunity to lead key reporting processes, manage a small team, and contribute to wider group strategy. The Role Reporting to the Group Consolidation Manager, you will take ownership of reporting across a large and complex group structure, while playing a key role in driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Lead the planning, project management, and delivery of accounts across multiple entities (circa 350 entities, including audit requirements) • Manage the year-end timetable and coordinate with internal teams and external auditors • Review, prepare, and deliver high-quality statutory accounts in line with deadlines • Identify opportunities to simplify the group structure, including winding up unnecessary entities • Oversee intercompany balances and ensure accuracy and recoverability • Maintain and improve ledgers and reporting processes • Collaborate with tax, legal, and company secretariat teams on structural changes • Contribute to finance transformation projects, including systems implementation • Lead, develop, and support a small team • Drive continuous improvement through process and systems enhancements About You • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) • Strong experience in group reporting within a large, listed environment (IFRS) • Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure • Experience managing and developing a team • Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret complex issues • Confident working with complex group structures • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) • Experience with finance systems such as Oracle or similar is advantageous What’s on Offer • Discretionary annual bonus • 25 days holiday + option to buy more • Generous pension scheme • Healthcare and wellbeing benefits • Enhanced family leave • Additional benefits including share schemes and discount platforms Why Apply? • Opportunity to step into a leadership role within a FTSE250 business • Exposure to complex group reporting and strategic projects • A collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and development
