The CAMHS Outreach team provides a community-based service to children and young people and their carers who are experiencingchronicpervasivemental health disorders; In this role the post holder will contribute to the treatment of patients and their recovery at the key stages of their journey through mental health services.
You will hold a clinical caseload, acting as key worker, completing assessments, developing care plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The role requires close multidisciplinary working to ensure coordinated, high-quality care throughout the young persons journey in mental health services.You will be trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and contribute to the teams Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Adolescence provision, including participation in DBT-A skills groups, treatment planning, and phone-coaching on a rota basis, which may include early evening hours.The role involves collaboration with families, schools, Social Care, and other CAMHS teams to ensure integrated and effective support - strong partnership working is essential.
The post also includes involvement in service development, clinical governance, audit, and supervision of junior staff or students on placement.Ongoing professional development, supervision, and adherence to safeguarding, data protection, health and safety, and professional standards are required.Once trained in DBT, will be required to be part of DBT phone coaching rota (8-8pm Monday to Friday) and DBT skills group once per week 5-8pm
