Job description

• The post holder will possess good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of the service team and across professional boundaries to ensure best care for patients with podiatric needs • The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner with developed clinical skills and maintain a level of knowledge and experience whilst treating complex foot problems and provide the highest quality of podiatric care to those patients whose feet are assessed as being at risk (in line with departmental guidelines). • Need to communicate information specific to a given patient in accordance with information governance standards and processes. • Be required to motivate patients throughout a course of treatment using a variety of techniques and approaches. • Need to be able to communicate clearly and proficiently, both verbally and in writing. • Ensure confidentiality of information is maintained at all times • Demonstrate skills in dealing with challenging behaviour. • Demonstrate highly developed communication and motivational skills to facilitate clients to manage their condition. • Liaise and maintain good communication with all professionals and agencies involved in the care of each client to ensure a seamless service and multidisciplinary approach to patient care • Maintain records of communication in line with Trust and service standards and procedures • Identify the need for and initiate the use of translator services as required • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings as per the minimum requirement in relation to hours worked.
