Job description

The role of Senior Procurement Manager involves managing procurement activities within the Transport & Distribution industry. This position requires a strategic approach to supplier management, cost control, and ensuring operational excellence in the Luton area. Description As Senior Procurement Manager you will be reporting into the Head of Procurement. Duties will include, however, not be limited to: • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet operational objectives. • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with contractual agreements. • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favourable terms for the organisation. • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations. • Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and align procurement activities accordingly. • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental goals. Profile A successful Senior Procurement Manager should have: • Proven experience in procurement within, ideally within categories including: FM, Operations, Capex, MRO, Security. • Strong negotiation and contract management skills. • Keen attitude to develop & progress within the team. • Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings and operational efficiencies. • Knowledge of procurement policies, practices, and relevant regulations. • Experience in managing supplier relationships effectively. • Capability to lead and develop a team of professionals.
