Senior Project Manager (Learning & Development / Programmes)Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 1–2 days per week in office)
Salary: £65,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Job summaryWe are working with a well-established and fast-growing organisation within the learning and development sector who are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager into a newly created role as a result of continued business growth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative team where you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of large-scale learning and development programmes for high-profile clients and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for ensuring programmes are delivered on time, to a high standard, and in line with client expectations, while managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale learning & development programmes
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and delivery timelines
• Work closely with Account Managers to ensure seamless client delivery
• Take ownership of key client accounts and stakeholder relationships where required
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and key milestones using internal systems
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across all programme outputs
• Produce clear and timely reporting, updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Support the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and ways of working
• Occasional travel within the UK (approximately once per month) with very occasional international travel
About you
• Proven experience in project or programme management within a client-facing environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident working across cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities
• Experience within learning & development, training, professional services, healthcare, pharma or similar sectors would be advantageous
• Project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) desirable but not essential
