Senior Radiographer

• To be conversant with procedures in general and screening rooms, ED, mobile and theatre radiography. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to become proficient in the more specialised techniques e.g. CT, IR and MRI • Assist with practical training of junior staff and student radiographers, acting as a role model through leading by example • Communicate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the directorate • Ensure that all guidelines relating to staff and patient safety are adhered to whilst in the Radiology department • Ensure that the rules and procedures of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are strictly adhered to, and that all working areas are kept clean and safe • Participate in departmental quality assurance programmes as required • Participate in Departments out of hours system (required to work weekend and evenings).
