Senior Residential Children's Support WorkerErith, DA8 | Up to £34,000 per annum | 4-Bed HomeAre you an experienced Senior Residential Children's Support Worker looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential provider in Erith, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, supportive team within a small 4-bed home. The service currently supports two young people aged 16 and 17 with complex learning disabilities, allowing staff to provide truly person-centred care and build meaningful relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced support worker seeking a long-term career in residential childcare, with ongoing training, clear progression opportunities, and a management team that values and invests in its staff.
The RoleAs a Senior Residential Children's Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Supporting children with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, and independence skills
• Promoting positive outcomes and helping young people reach their full potential
• Providing consistent care and support tailored to individual needs
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Working collaboratively with families, social workers, education providers, and healthcare professionals
• Contributing to care planning, reviews, and team meetings
• Acting as a positive role model and championing high standards of care
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
• Previous experience working within a residential childcare setting
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people
• Experience supporting young people with Learning Disabilities, EBD, SEMH, or complex needs
• NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or at least 50% completed)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A resilient, compassionate, and professional approach
• A full UK driving licence
What's On Offer?Salary & Benefits
• £15.05 per hour (£31,300 per annum) and £16.35 per hour (£34,000 per annum)
• £65 per sleep-in shift
• Full-time contract - 40 hours per week
Shift Patterns
• Day shifts: 7:00am - 10:00pm
• Waking nights: 9:00pm - 7:00am
• Sleep-ins: 10:00pm - 7:00am
