Job description
Senior Sales Negotiator | Peterborough | Full-Time | Permanent
About the Company
My client is a well-established, independent estate and letting agency with over 40 years’ experience and a strong local presence across Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Built on values of trust, professionalism and service excellence, the business has developed an excellent reputation alongside a collaborative, high-energy team culture.
Due to continued growth and sustained business levels, they are now looking to recruit an additional Senior Sales Negotiator to join their Peterborough office. This is a growth role, not a replacement, offering genuine opportunity to build on an already successful sales function.
The Role – Senior Sales Negotiator
This opportunity would suit a confident, driven and commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced, target-led environment.
You’ll play a key role in generating new business, negotiating sales and driving pipeline activity. My client is looking for an order-maker, not an order-taker — someone proactive, resilient and motivated by results, who can identify opportunities and convert them into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
• Negotiate sales offers and manage transactions through to completion
• Proactively build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
• Identify and maximise new business opportunities
• Handle objections confidently and effectively
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive overall office performance
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on internal systems
• Contribute to a positive, energetic and professional team environment
Role Requirements
Essential
• Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
• Proactive, self-motivated and target-driven mindset
• Proven ability to build and manage a pipeline
• Confident communicator with a commercial approach
• Tenacious, resilient and results-focused
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable
• Previous estate agency experience
• Experience listing properties or carrying out valuations
• Senior-level or mentoring experience
Candidates without estate agency experience will still be considered if they can demonstrate a strong, proven sales background with transferable skills.
Salary, Hours & Benefits
Salary
• £25,000 – £28,000 basic (flexible for the right candidate)
• High commission structure and regular pay reviews, based on performance
Working Hours
• Monday – Friday: 8:45am – 5:30pm
• 30-minute unpaid lunch + two short breaks
• Alternate Saturdays: 8:50am – 4:00pm (rota/swaps available)
Benefits
• Pension scheme (Aviva)
• Annual leave package including extended summer leave
• Stable business with long-term career prospects
