Job description

Senior Solution Architect Hybrid – London & Midlands (with remote working) Competitive Salary Full Time | Permanent The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in delivering a large-scale enterprise transformation programme. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll take ownership of the end-to-end solution architecture, designing complex integrations and ensuring technical solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with technical teams, product leaders, and client stakeholders, you'll bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery across a high-profile implementation. Key Responsibilities • Own the end-to-end solution architecture across a major enterprise programme. • Design complex integrations between payroll, ERP, HR, finance, and workforce management systems. • Produce detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams. • Define data models, business logic, API integrations, and system interfaces. • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal development teams to resolve technical challenges. • Validate development outputs and provide technical governance throughout delivery. • Support sprint reviews, architecture decisions, and technical change control. • Lead architecture design for future programme enhancements and system scalability. • Identify technical risks and drive continuous improvement across the solution. About You • Proven experience as a Solution Architect delivering enterprise software implementations. • Strong background within payroll software, recruitment technology, workforce management, or staffing solutions. • Hands-on Salesforce architecture experience is essential, including data modelling, Apex, SOQL, Flows, Platform Events, and API integrations. • Extensive experience designing integrations between enterprise platforms, ERP systems, and third-party applications. • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and HMRC RTI integrations. • Experience producing detailed technical specifications and supporting Agile delivery teams. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Experience with BACS, SEPA, payment integrations, or treasury systems would be highly advantageous. • An AI-first mindset, using AI tools to enhance solution design, documentation, and problem-solving.
