Key Responsibilities: As our Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will take a senior clinical role in the assessment, treatment and management of adults with communication and swallowing difficulties within a specialist neurological rehabilitation setting. Youll work closely with the wider MDT to deliver person-centred, goal-focused interventions that support recovery, independence and quality of life. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing a defined caseload of adults with complex neurological conditions, including those with communication and swallowing difficulties • Carrying out specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for speech, language, communication and dysphagia needs • Providing evidence-based intervention for individuals presenting with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia and dysphagia • Assessing eating, drinking and communication abilities and ensuring recommendations are clearly communicated to the wider team • Responding to urgent referrals and adapting intervention plans in line with changing clinical needs • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to contribute to person-centred rehabilitation programmes and risk management plans • Offering specialist advice, guidance and consultation to colleagues, families and external professionals • Accurately documenting assessments, interventions, outcomes and care plans within electronic patient records • Supporting service development, departmental standards and the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy practice • Contributing to training, supervision and the sharing of specialist knowledge across the wider team where appropriate Job description Job responsibilities Key Responsibilities: As our Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will take a senior clinical role in the assessment, treatment and management of adults with communication and swallowing difficulties within a specialist neurological rehabilitation setting.
