Based Wokingham, Berkshire Full Time | Monday to Friday Salary: up to £39,000 depending on skills and experience Avia Technique is a leading UK aviation maintenance and repair organisation, specialising in the overhaul and repair of critical aircraft safety and survival equipment. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Technician to join our Wokingham-based Line Replacement Unit (LRU) Workshop. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft components, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance. Working within a skilled and supportive team, you will utilise approved maintenance data, technical manuals and precision tooling to deliver exceptional service and meet customer turnaround requirements. Key Responsibilities • Carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on aircraft fuel system components • Work in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, component maintenance manuals (CMMs) and company procedures • Perform detailed inspections and identify defects, wear and non-conformances • Assemble and disassemble components using approved tooling and equipment • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and records • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, quality standards and workshop procedures • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment • Support continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives within the workshop • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices • Contribute positively to team objectives and customer turnaround targets Person profile: Essential Criteria: • Mechanical engineering experience within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive or a similar technical environment • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical hands-on skills • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and maintenance data • Good literacy and numeracy skills • Positive attitude and willingness to learn • Strong team-working and communication skills • Ability to work effectively to deadlines while maintaining accuracy Desirable • NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent. • Aerospace, MRO or aviation component maintenance experience. • Electronics experience. • Experience using precision measurement equipment and workshop tools. • Knowledge of aviation regulations and quality systems.
