Senior Town PlannerLocation: Tunbridge Wells, Kent Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an ambitious Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a highly regarded planning and development consultancy? Our client is seeking a talented Senior Town Planner to join their growing team in Tunbridge Wells. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary practice that works on a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use, rural and strategic land sectors. As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice and managing projects from inception through to completion, while building strong relationships with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders. The RoleKey responsibilities will include: • Managing a varied portfolio of planning projects across multiple sectors. • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and site promotion strategies. • Providing clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients. • Undertaking site appraisals and planning due diligence assessments. • Managing relationships with local authorities, consultees and stakeholders. • Supporting junior team members through mentoring and technical guidance. • Assisting with business development activities and helping to identify new opportunities. About YouThe successful candidate will have: • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline. • MRTPI qualification (or working towards chartership with relevant experience). • Proven experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or development environment. • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy. • Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills. • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
