Join the 5-star team at The McIndoe Centre, where exceptional care goes beyond clinical treatment. Were looking for a motivated and personable Senior Ward Host to be a key link between our patients and the catering teamensuring every meal is served with care, attention to detail, and a smile. Youll play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience, from taking and delivering meal orders to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. As the friendly face of our catering service, youll also support the kitchen team during peak periods and help ensure our service runs smoothly from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, professional environment where your work truly mattersand where theres plenty of room to grow and develop.  What Youll Be Doing • Taking and communicating food and beverage orders for patients, visitors, and staff • Aid production of front of house rota • Leading the Front of House team, ensuring they are fully trained and this is maintained, conducting regular 121s • Assist with preparing trays and trolleys for meal service based on specific dietary needs • Ensure H&S / allergen processes are followed • Supporting kitchen operations by serving, preparing cold dishes, and restocking service areas • Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer satisfaction • Attending training in food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety • Playing an active role in patient feedback and service improvement As part of Horder Healthcare, youll be working in a vibrant, patient-focused environment where your contribution is genuinely valued. We offer: • A competitive salary with enhanced evening pay • Ongoing learning and development opportunities • A supportive, professional team culture • Access to wellbeing resources and staff benefits About you: • Industry recognised qualification at NVQ level 2 or higher or at least 2 years experience within a similar role within the service industry. • Food safety Level 2 (this will be provided by HH if needed) • The ability to lead by example • Flexibility with regards to shift patterns • Good written and verbal communication skills • Basic IT skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. • A good knowledge of common allergies. • Friendly and outgoing personality Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead Contract Type: Fixed Term for 6 months, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 between Monday to Sunday Shifts: 7am3pm / 11am7pm  Salary: £25,486.50 - £25,759.50 per annum In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment. We have assessed this role and it does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. As such, we will not be accepting any visa sponsorships for this role, and candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK independently, without sponsorship from Horder Healthcare.
