MERITUS are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the maintenance, commissioning and reliability of critical electrical and control systems at a Nuclear Power Station in Heysham. SERVICE ENGINEER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - NUCLEAR POWER STATION - HEYSHAM - SC CLEARANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED We're looking for a Service Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background to carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, technical support and small project work within a highly regulated nuclear environment. Full training will be provided on site-specific systems and equipment. Responsibilities • Install, test and commission small electrical and control system projects. • Carry out planned maintenance, site surveys, technical audits and system health checks. • Complete system upgrades, patching, backup and restore activities. • Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical and control systems. • Provide remote and on-site technical support. • Complete service reports and technical documentation. • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota. Skills & ExperienceEssential: • Strong electrical engineering background. • Full UK driving licence. • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and organisational skills. Desirable: • Experience with PLCs, RTUs or industrial control systems. • Experience within nuclear, power generation, utilities or other regulated industries. • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
