Site Management Role based in Cheshire. Working for a well established fuel production and waste management company. Client Details Our client is a well established, industry leading fuel production and waste management company based in Cheshire. Description Site Manager (Recycling / Waste Management / Fuel Production) We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of this well established fuel production and waste management site. You will have full responsibility for health & safety, environmental compliance, operational performance and site budgets, overseeing feedstock acceptance, stock management and fuel production. Leading the on-site team, you'll embed a strong safety-first culture while driving performance across production, quality, maintenance coordination and housekeeping. You'll also manage the operational relationship with the fuel offtake customer, ensuring specifications and service levels are consistently met. • Lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the site • Deliver daily biomass fuel production to meet required quality, volume and customer demand. • Champion Health, Safety and Environmental standards across all site operations. • Use KPIs, data and reporting to drive performance across safety, production, quality and cost. • Own fuel quality control, ensuring consistent standards and continuous improvement. • Work closely with contracts, logistics and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve day-to-day operational issues. • Build and manage strong relationships with key customers and plant operators at a senior level. • Identify and manage operational and contractual risks, escalating issues where required. • Lead, develop and performance-manage the operations team. • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to maximise plant availability and minimise downtime. • Control budgets, optimise resources and deliver cost-effective operations. • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction and efficiency gains. Profile Site Manager (Recycling / Waste Management / Fuel Production) You must be from a recycling, waste management or fuel production background at site manager level • WAMITAB/COTC - this is a preferred certificate but if you don't it then the client will assist in obtaining it. • IOSH or above, or equivalent experience. • Minimum Level 5 in leadership apprenticeship or equivalent experience or qualification. • Established experience in operations management, either in waste management, fuel production or manufacturing • Proven track record of managing production facilities and teams in any of these sectors - manufacturing, waste management or fuel production. • Engineering Background or engineering environment preferred. • A proven leader in manufacturing, fuel production or waste management • Ability to manage shift change-overs effectively is extremely important to this role. • Strong leadership and people management skills. • Ability to engage with customers and external stakeholders on operational performance matters. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Proficiency in operational management software and tools. • Strong analytical and financial management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders and plan maintenance schedules.
