Skilled Aircraft Fitter Filton, Bristol | Onsite Monday-Thursday | 6:30am - 3:45pm About the OpportunityGuidant Global is partnering with Airbus, a global leader in aerospace innovation, to recruit multiple Skilled Aircraft Fitters at their Filton site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the build and assembly of advanced commercial and military aircraft. You'll play a key role within the Build Production team, working on high-profile aircraft programmes in a safety-critical environment. What You'll Be DoingAs a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you'll be responsible for delivering precision assembly work to the highest aerospace standards. • Working from detailed engineering instructions and aircraft drawings • Carrying out assembly tasks including drilling, shimming and sealing • Using hand and power tools to complete complex build activities • Ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety requirements • Completing training to achieve 1st party certification • Working in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at height • Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to team objectives Essential Qualifications & Experience (Key Requirement)To be considered, you must meet all qualification requirements below. These are critical for compliance and cannot be flexed: • Completed full engineering apprenticeship (mandatory) • NVQ Level 2 AND Level 3 in an engineering discipline (or equivalent certification) • Time-served or work-based apprenticeship with formal certification • Proof of qualifications must be provided at application stage In addition, you must have: • Proven experience in a fitter / assembly / manufacturing role • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings • Hands-on experience using hand and power tools • A strong commitment to health and safety standards • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Comfort working in confined spaces and at height Please note: Applications without the required apprenticeship and NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualifications will not be considered.
