Skilled Labourer

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Skilled Labourer to work across East Sussex, based in Uckfield. You will be working alongside an experienced team on high-end residential conversions, refurbishments and new build passive homes. About the hours & salary This is a self-employed Skilled Labourer position working 8 hours per day, starting at 7.30am, with two half-hour breaks and you will receive a salary of £150 per day, depending on experience. About the role As a Skilled Labourer, you will support the construction team across a range of exciting high-end building projects, including bespoke conversions and energy-efficient new build passive homes. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same and your duties will include: • Assisting skilled tradespeople with day-to-day construction tasks • Preparing and maintaining work areas to ensure projects run efficiently • Loading, unloading and moving building materials and equipment • Carrying out general labouring duties on site • Supporting first and second fix carpentry work where required • Keeping the site clean, safe and organised at all times • Working as part of a professional team to deliver projects to the highest standards About you To be successful in the role of Skilled Labourer, you must have / be: • Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer on construction sites • A strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude • Reliable, punctual and able to work using your own initiative • Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work • Pride in producing high-quality work • Polite, professional and able to communicate courteously with clients and colleagues • Own transport is essential due to travel between sites across East Sussex About the company The business is a family-run building firm specialising in unique, high-end construction projects, offering a bespoke service to clients throughout East Sussex and Kent.
