Snowflake (Cortex) Platform Engineer - Insurance

Key Responsibilities • Own Snowflake platform administration, performance, and cost optimisation. • Manage RBAC, access controls, SSO integrations, and security policies. • Implement data masking, row-level security, audit logging, and network controls. • Deliver platform upgrades, new feature adoption, and Terraform-based deployments. • Partner with Data Engineering, Security, and Cloud teams to drive best practices and continuous improvement. • Act as the Snowflake SME for platform operations, governance, and architecture. Essential Skills • Strong enterprise Snowflake administration experience. • Cortex AI • Expertise in Snowflake security, RBAC, governance, and access management. • Experience with warehouse management, performance tuning, and cost optimisation. • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of Account Usage and Information Schema. • Terraform (or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tooling). • Cloud platform, networking, and identity management experience (e.g. Okta, Azure AD). • Available to start within 1 month (maximum notice period). Highly Desirable • SnowPro certification. • Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Data Sharing, or Clean Rooms. • Python automation. • dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Alation, or Collibra. • Experience within regulated environments.
