Job description
As a Social Worker, you will manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, developing care and support plans, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. You will play a key role in empowering families, building resilience, and ensuring children receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and review care and support plans.
• Manage a caseload that includes vulnerable children and families with complex needs.
• Carry out safeguarding investigations and child protection work where required.
• Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies.
• Attend case conferences, strategy meetings, and reviews.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate electronic case records.
• Represent the Local Authority in court proceedings when required.
• Participate in duty arrangements and emergency responses as necessary.
• Promote positive outcomes through effective intervention and support planning.
