Technical Manager
Location: Worcestershire Area
Salary: £40,000 per annum

The Opportunity
We are working with a highly respected and growing food manufacturing business that is seeking a Technical Manager to support the Head of Technical across a broad range of technical and compliance activities.

Operating within a flat management structure, you'll play a key role in maintaining site standards, driving compliance, supporting customer and third-party audits, and continually improving technical processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head of Technical with the day-to-day management of technical and quality systems.
• Ensure site compliance with all food safety, quality and legal requirements.
• Maintain and develop HACCP systems and associated documentation.
• Lead and support customer, retailer and third-party audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across technical and operational functions.
• Manage internal audits and corrective action programmes.
• Assist with investigations relating to quality incidents, customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Support training and development initiatives across the wider business.
• Collaborate with production and operational teams to maintain the highest standards.
• Ensure all technical documentation and records are maintained accurately.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
• Background within food manufacturing.
• Experience in a Technical, Quality or Compliance role.
• HACCP Level 3 or Level 4 qualification.
• Food Safety Level 3 or Level 4 qualification.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems and audit requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
• Previous experience as a Technical Manager.
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related subject.
• Experience supporting BRCGS and customer audits.
• Internal Auditor qualification.
