Make a Real Difference to Children's LivesWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (Level 2) to join our Children's Social Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children, young people, and families, helping them overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes As a Social Worker, you will manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, developing care and support plans, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. You will play a key role in empowering families, building resilience, and ensuring children receive the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities • Undertake assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements. • Develop, implement, and review care and support plans. • Manage a caseload that includes vulnerable children and families with complex needs. • Carry out safeguarding investigations and child protection work where required. • Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies. • Attend case conferences, strategy meetings, and reviews. • Prepare reports and maintain accurate electronic case records. • Represent the Local Authority in court proceedings when required. • Participate in duty arrangements and emergency responses as necessary. • Promote positive outcomes through effective intervention and support planning.
