Solution Architect - Azure Cloud | Financial Services Remote UK up to £700-£750 a day (INSIDE IR35) We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a leading financial services organisation undergoing a significant cloud transformation journey. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping enterprise-wide technology solutions, driving Azure adoption, and delivering secure, scalable architectures within a highly regulated environment. The RoleAs a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing end-to-end technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and business leaders, you will lead the design of cloud-first solutions that support strategic transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native technologies. • Lead architecture activities across major transformation programmes, including cloud migration and application modernisation initiatives. • Produce high-level and detailed solution designs, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and operational effectiveness. • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into effective architectural solutions. • Define integration approaches across applications, data platforms, and third-party services. • Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, risk, and regulatory standards. • Provide technical leadership and architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle. • Support cloud adoption strategies and help drive best practice across architecture and engineering teams. What We're Looking For • Proven experience operating as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments. • Deep expertise across Microsoft Azure, including cloud architecture, platform services, integration, and migration strategies. • Strong background delivering cloud transformation and modernisation programmes. • Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions covering applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure. • Solid understanding of architecture frameworks, governance, security, and risk management. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Highly Desirable • Previous experience within Financial Services, including banking, insurance, wealth management, fintech, or related regulated sectors. • Experience working within highly regulated environments with strong governance and compliance requirements. • Knowledge of cloud security, operational resilience, and regulatory considerations. • Familiarity with integration architecture, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
