• Take charge of a specified area of work, including the Main laboratory as required, supervise non-state registered staff and other BMS staff, and deputise for Band 7 section leaders when necessary. • Implement policies in specialised areas and propose changes that will improve and develop the service for users inside and outside the Trust • To assist in the development and maintenance of standards as necessary for continuing UKAS ISO 15189:2022 accreditation • Carry out quality audits (Horizontal, Vertical and Examination) of laboratory processes/procedures • To assist in the development and implementation of departmental training plans for staff, as required.
