Spinal Injury Support Worker Location: Canterbury Salary: £16.53 per hour weekdays, £17.36 per hour weekend days. Job Type: Zero-hour contract Shifts: 8am-8pm, 7 days per week Full time/part time hours available.  About Us: At Libertatem, we believe in providing exceptional care that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Role Overview: We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Canterbury, working on a 2:1 ratio. Our client is a male in his late 50’s with a Spinal Injury following a road traffic accident. He has a catheter and requires daily support with bowel management, cough assist and nebulisers, plus monitoring for signs of autonomic dysreflexia. To support his independence, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship, with previous Spinal Injury experience. Key Responsibilities: • Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, catheter and bowel management) • Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition • Administering medication and supporting with cough assist and nebulisers (training provided) • Providing emotional support and companionship • Supporting with moving and handling • Light housekeeping duties What We’re Looking For: • Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with high level spinal cord injury with complex needs. • Experience with catheter care, bowel management and/or knowledge of Autonomic Dysreflexia. • A valid UK driving licence essential to drive during shift. • A caring and compassionate nature • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer: • Access to our benefits and communication platform • Exclusive discounts at thousands of recognised retailers • Access to our Wellness Centre • Support with financial wellbeing • Discounts on gym memberships • Discounts on healthcare cash plans • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)     #libertatem Libertatem Healthcare The Libertatem Healthcare Group, was established to provide the very best levels of care and support for clients who have sustained Personal Injuries or suffered from Medical Negligence.
