Sports and Activities Coach

Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Sports and Activities Coach to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in city centre Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester. The job • We are looking for an inspiring and reliable Sports and Activities Coach with experience of working with children and young people to provide fitness instruction and sports activities to students aged 8 – 18 years. • This is a permanent position, working 20 hours per week during term time, with some evening and weekend work required. • You will organise extra-curricular activities and lessons which address the needs and interests of our children and young people, including devising a range of games and activities which encourage the students to have fun, whilst maintaining a level of fitness, promoting wellbeing and co-ordinating of trips and excursions which enrich student experience. • You will take charge of the opening and closing of the school gym in the evenings, some weekends and supervising the students while using it. • You will Teach some PE lessons. • You will lead on sports club with the juniors. In return • Salary, SCP 31 £17,999.63 per annum (£41,075.55 FTE). • Benefits including subsidised lunches during term time, on site gym and free tickets to selected concerts.
