Job description

Position Description We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented IT Support Analyst to join our UK Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating UK-specific enhancements to our trading platform—adapted from our Asia-based/US global solution—by performing comprehensive front-to-back testing, tracing order flows across multiple systems, and ensuring data integrity through reconciliation checks. This role is integral to supporting UK Trading operations and project-specific requirements. Key Areas of Responsibilities • Design, prepare, and execute end-to-end test scenarios covering Front Office trading platforms, trading engines, Middle Office systems, and Back Office operations. • Trace the full lifecycle of trade/order flow through multiple integrated systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity at every stage. • Perform integration testing with Head Office back-office teams, as well as UK-specific environments. • Validate message flows across multiple FIX sessions, verifying correct data transformation and routing. • Perform reconciliation testing between front-end trading records, middle office positions, back office booking, and external data sources. • Work closely with UK developers, business analysts, and operations teams to understand platform changes, requirements, and testing scope. • Validate system changes against functional specifications and regulatory/business requirements. • Identify defects, document clearly reproducible steps, and work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues. • Maintain test artefacts, scripts, and results for audit/regulatory purposes. • Test UK-specific projects, including configuration changes, new functionality, and infrastructure upgrades. • Work across Linux and Windows environments, interacting directly with Oracle databases for test preparation, validation, and data analysis. • Assist in automation strategies for repetitive test scenarios where possible, especially for regression suites. • Support release cycles with smoke testing, regression testing, and go-live verification. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science or related field preferred • Minimum 3 years’ experience of working on trading desk; supporting OMS\EMS systems. Experience working on FIX systems. • Proven experience in end-to-end testing for trading/investment banking/financial services environments. • Strong understanding of trade life cycle management — from Front Office to Back Office settlement. • Hands-on experience with FIX protocol message structures and workflow validation. • Experience with trade & position reconciliation processes. • Technical proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems. • Background with test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and tools such as Python, Shell scripting, or similar. • Strong SQL skills for Oracle database querying and data analysis. • Familiarity with integration testing and working with geographically distributed teams. • Excellent analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving. • Strong communication skills for liaising between technology and business teams. • Experience with algo trading platforms and low-latency trading systems. • Knowledge of UK-specific regulatory requirements in financial markets. • Exposure to middleware messaging, market data feeds, and post-trade processing tools. • Previous work on platforms adapted from global solutions to regional specifics. • Excellent command of English – verbal and written.
