As the Steel Fixer you will work as part of a site team responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or mesh to reinforce concrete structures. DUTIES Your duties as the Steel Fixer include: • Work Area Set-Up: Set out the work area using site plans • Bar and Mesh Preparation: Cut and bend bars or mesh • Rebar Tying: Tie rebar together with wire, clips or welds to build up sections • Spacers and Supports: Fit spacers and supports • Formwork and Shuttering: Fix the wooden formwork and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place • Beam and Slab Installation: Install beams and pre-cast slabs CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • NVQ in Steel Fixing preferred • Valid Blue CSCS Card • Ability to understand technical drawings • Extensive construction experience working in a similar role • Experience tying reinforced steel • Capable of shuttering and concreting • Reliable, hardworking and committed to working safely while delivering high-quality workmanship HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
