Job description

Job Title Purchasing & Stock Controller Department Procurement Reports To Operations Management Location Middleton Employment Type Permanent, Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for someone with experience in Purchasing & Stock Control. You will be managing the purchase and supply of materials needed for production and maintenance. The role is responsible for ensuring materials are available when needed, maintaining stock levels, working with suppliers, and helping control costs. Key Responsibilities • Purchase raw materials, packaging, consumables, and spare parts. • Raise and manage purchase orders. • Monitor stock levels and ensure continuous supply to production. • Work closely with Planning, Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams. • Maintain accurate material and pricing information in SAP. • Manage inventory levels and help reduce excess stock. • Handle supplier claims and delivery issues. • Prepare purchasing and stock reports and monitor key performance indicators. • Keep product costings and costing systems up to date. Skills & Experience Essential • Experience in purchasing, procurement, stock control, or supply chain. • An understanding of stock management and supplier relationships. • Strong organisational and communication skills. • Good numerical and analytical ability. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. • Fluent written and spoken English. Desirable • Knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment.
