Job description

An established manufacturing business is seeking a Planning Coordinator to join its Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive planning professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced production environment. This role is 4 days a week on site with one day working from home a week. Working closely with production, logistics, procurement and customer service teams, you will play a key role in ensuring production plans are executed effectively, materials are available when required, and customer demand is delivered on time and in full. This is a FTC role until February 2027. Key Responsibilities • Create and maintain production schedules to support customer demand. • Monitor order requirements and adjust plans to maximise operational efficiency. • Coordinate with production teams to ensure capacity is utilised effectively. • Work closely with procurement and inventory teams to manage material availability. • Track supply chain constraints and proactively communicate potential issues. • Analyse planning data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement. • Update and maintain ERP system records and planning information. • Support inventory management activities to ensure optimum stock levels. • Liaise with customer service teams regarding order priorities and delivery requirements. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning and supply chain operations. About You • Previous experience within production planning, supply chain planning, scheduling or logistics coordination. • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. • Comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning. • SAP experience would be preferred.
