Job description

The Company: Our client is a highly successful, international manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment. Due to continued growth and operational requirements, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to lead their materials planning, logistics and warehousing function at a key manufacturing site. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow, inventory optimisation and operational excellence within a customer-driven manufacturing operation The Role: You will take full responsibility for materials planning, inbound logistics and warehouse operations, leading a team focused on delivering materials to production safely, accurately and on time. Key responsibilities include: • Leading materials planning activities to maintain material availability and prevent production disruption. • Managing supplier schedules, material call-offs and expediting activity to mitigate supply risks. • Overseeing warehousing, inventory control, goods receipt and line-feeding operations. • Driving inventory accuracy, traceability, FIFO compliance and warehouse efficiency. • Managing logistics performance, freight spend and inventory investment. • Building strong relationships across suppliers and internal stakeholders. • Delivering continuous improvement initiatives across materials and logistics operations. • Leading, developing and motivating materials and warehouse teams to achieve operational KPIs. The Person: We are interested in speaking with experienced supply chain professionals who have operated within fast-paced manufacturing environments. You will be able to demonstrate: • Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment • Strong understanding of production-driven planning and inventory management. • Experience managing warehouse and materials teams. • Excellent ERP/MRP system knowledge and data analysis capability. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
